My Story

Writing about oneself can be amusing, but it's a necessary step for others to understand one's journey. So, let me share my story.

Childhood Life: I was born and raised in a small South Indian town where my dad, primarily an agriculturist, also managed a renowned restaurant that eventually became a local landmark. My early education took place in an ICSE school, where I excelled in certain subjects and faced challenges in others. A stumble in grade 4 led me to transition to a state syllabus school, where I secured 70 to 80% marks without extensive exam preparation. My strength lay in absorbing information during classes and reproducing it in exams. Despite being a bit mischievous and aggressive, I retained a foundation of good values, embracing my role as a last bencher.

College Life: Continuing my approach of grasping and executing, I encountered challenges in mathematics during my college years, leading to a growing dislike for the subject. Failing to clear 12th-grade math on the first attempt, I had to rely on a supplementary exam for redemption.

Engineering Life: Choosing engineering, a decision influenced by societal norms, turned out to be a regrettable one. Despite my desire to pursue AgBsc, my dad rejected the idea, and I found myself enrolled in Mechanical Engineering at a prestigious college in Bangalore. This phase was exceptionally tough, struggling with advanced mathematics, even though I excelled in Engineering Design and Workshops. Frustration arose from the fact that I couldn't delve into subjects I enjoyed until I cleared my math exams, leading to the tough decision to drop out of college.

Mini MBA: During the COVID-19 pandemic, I took the opportunity to enhance my skills and knowledge by enrolling in a Virtual Mini MBA in Agribusiness Management and Leadership Program offered by the Business School of Netherlands. This proactive step allowed me to utilize my time effectively and engage in a structured learning experience focused on the intricacies of agribusiness management and leadership. This program not only reflects my commitment to continuous learning but also equips me with valuable insights and expertise in the dynamic field of agribusiness.

Entrepreneurship: With a family deeply involved in business, I harboured a natural interest, inspired by the stories of my dad's ascent from humble beginnings. Choosing not to join the family business, I ventured into starting a new, challenging, and scalable ventureLater, I initiated four ventures, all of which eventually closed. Now, I am passionately engaged in building Sasya.

Sasya's Vision:

Sasya is a profit-driven social enterprise dedicated to establishing 'India's first safest, sustainable, transparent, ethical, and traceable fresh produce supply chain.' Unlike mere verbal assurances, we demonstrate the safety of our produce by delivering concrete evidence to our customers through global Maximum Residue Level (MRL) tests and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certifications.

By adhering to rigorous testing standards and recognized agricultural practices, we ensure that our customers can trust the safety and quality of our fresh produce. Our emphasis on transparency is not just a statement but a practice, where we open our processes to scrutiny through certifications that meet international standards.

Our traceability system, allows consumers to trace the origin and journey of each product back to its source. This not only empowers consumers with information but also ensures accountability at every step of the supply chain.

This venture is more than just a business; it's a forward-thinking initiative designed to future-proof farmers, uplift communities, and contribute to the well-being of the planet. We envision a future where agriculture is not only sustainable but also ethical and transparent.

Through our commitment to high standards and responsible practices, we aim to create a resilient and sustainable supply chain that benefits farmers, consumers, and the environment alike.

Leave me a message and I'll get back to you.
